Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with an OFSTED rated "Good" school in Solihull, Birmingham to recruit a qualified and passionate Geography teacher on a full time basis.

HAVE YOU GOT UK QTS AND EXPERIENCE TEACHING HUMANITIES IN A SECONDARY SCHOOL?

Start date: January 2025 Pay: To scale (on full time position) Hours: Full Time Person Specification: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification - Bachelors Degree in a humanities subject (preferably Geography) - Previous experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school - Excellent subject knowledge and knowledge of the Geography national curriculum - Ability to teach across the humanities department, including history and religious studies, is a benefit - Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs or an awareness on how to adapt lessons appropriately - Enhanced, child only DBS on the update service ( or willingness to obtain one) Job Roles/Responsibilities: - Plan high quality Geography lessons to year groups 7-11 - Deliver captivating lessons which engage all learners - Differentiate lessons and plan accordingly to suit the individual needs within the class - Assess pupil progress through regular marking and feedback - Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents - Ensure safeguarding is at the centre of your practice - Contribute to the wider school community and actively participate in extra curricular activities IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE IDEAL ROLE FOR YOU THEN PLEASE APPLY BY SENDING YOUR CV TO ****** OR CLICKING THE APPLY BUTTON BELOW AND ATTACHING YOUR CV!
