The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
They will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and support.
Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum and resources.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.
Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
Requirements: A degree in Geography Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for Humanities and a desire to inspire students.
Desirable: A postgraduate qualification in education or a Humanities discipline.
Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and their application in the classroom.
