Job summary The role: As a newlyqualifiedGP at Yeovil PCN, you will play an importantpart in providing high-quality, patient-centred care across fiveGPpractices.
Your clinical responsibilities will involvemanagingconsultations during office hours, making phone calls andoccasional home visits, and triaging patients electronically, phone, orin-person.
You prescribe medications, handle repeat prescriptions, and processtest results in accordance with national and local standards.
In addition, youwill diagnose and manage acute and chronic diseases, assist patients with complexneeds, and provide health and wellbeing recommendations to encourage healthierliving.
Throughout, you will be encouraged to make your own clinical judgementswhile receiving organised supervision and a supportive environment .
Beyond direct patient treatment, you will help the practicesfunctionsmoothly by participating in clinical governance activities such as audits andsignificantevent reviews, which ensure continuous service improvement.You will also collaborate with colleagues in practice meetings, help withadministrative tasks including referrals and medical reports, and supportvulnerable patients in compliance with legal frameworks.
