Main duties of the job We are looking for a motivated, 6-session face-to-face GP to join our clinical team, working across our two thriving sites: Graham Road Surgery and Horizon Health Centre.
Our 16,000 patients are at the heart of what we do, and our multi-disciplinary teamcomprising salaried GPs, ACPs, ANPs, paramedics, nurses, HCAs, and mental health professionalsworks collaboratively to provide high-quality care.What Were Looking For:- A passionate, motivated individual committed to delivering outstanding patient care.- Someone who strives for excellence and maintains the highest standards of quality within the practice.- A confident, approachable GP with over 1 year of post-registration experience working independently in NHS or private settings.- A calm, professional, yet empathetic manner when dealing with patients and colleagues.- Strong time management, flexibility, and adaptability in managing a busy GP role.- Full GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register.

Job description Job responsibilities Primary ResponsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP.
There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled populationb.Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidancec.Effective management of long-term conditionsd.Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor rolesf.Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidanceg.Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit processi.Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF and contribute effectively to practice meetings as requiredl.Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including; clinical governance and training compliance with the appraisal processn.Prepare and complete the revalidation process to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice teamp.Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplinesq.Support the Executive management team in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all timess.Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all timesSecondary ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the primary responsibilities, the salaried GP may be requested to:a.Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit leadb.Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient carec.Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach root cause analysis (RCA) Person Specification Experience Desirable Experience of working in a primary care environment Experience of continued professional development Experience of QOF and clinical audit Minimum of two years as a salaried GP Experience of medicines management Experience of CCG initiatives Personal qualities Essential Polite and confident Flexible and cooperative Motivated, forward thinker Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required High levels of integrity and loyalty Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations Ability to work under pressure / in stressful situations Effectively able to communicate and understand the needs of the patient Commitment to ongoing professional development Effectively utilises resources Punctual and committed to supporting the team effort Other requirements Essential Flexibility to work outside of core office hours Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check Occupational Health Clearance Desirable Project lead as required with CQC, CCG and QOF Qualifications Essential Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) Eligibility Essential Full GMC Registration National Performers List registration Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU) Eligibility to practice in the UK independently Skills Essential Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Strong IT skills Clear, polite telephone manner Competent in the use of Office and Outlook Effective time management (Planning & Organising) Ability to work as a team member and autonomously Excellent interpersonal skills Problem solving & analytical skills Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes Experience with clinical risk management Desirable EMIS user skills
