Job summary Selsey Medical Practice has 12,500 patients and is well organised andharmonious with 4 collaborative partners (including a managing partner) and 5salaried GPs.
We also have an experienced nursing team (with a nurseresponsible for home visiting), numerous ARRS roles and a fantastic PatientSupport Team.
We have a great team spirit and meet daily for a scheduled informal,professional catch-up over real coffee in our comfortable staff room, where wecan let off steam, share news and discuss cases if necessary.We are a training practiceWe are part of ChichesterAlliance of Medical Practices Primary Care Network.
The PCN, which has 90,000patients, employs a number of additional roles including paramedics, pharmacists,pharmacy technicians, social prescribers, care coordinators, first contactphysiotherapists and mental health practitioners, all of whom work as part ofour practice team here in Selsey.We use TPP Systmone clinicalsystem.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be a GP member of theclinical team delivering a wide range of primary care services, ensuring thehighest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a love of general practice to join our expanding team of experienced staff in our purpose built medical centre.

Job description Job responsibilities Clinicalresponsibilities: Thepost-holder will undertake the normal duties and responsibilities associatedwith a GP working within primary care.
Inaccordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will provideservices using face to face, telephone and video consultations Managingadministrative tasks, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in atimely fashion.
Visitingpatients at home when clinically indicated.
Recordingclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
Collectingdata for audit purposes when requested.
Prescribingin accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) wheneverthis is clinically appropriate.
SupervisingGP trainees and non-medical clinical staff when needed.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential GP with CCT, eligible to practice in the UK with GMC registration & Medical Performers List registration.
Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
Evidence of continued professional development.
Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
Desirable MRCGP.
An interest in developing additional skills insertion of contraception implants, IUDs; dermatology Services.
Experience Essential Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Good time management being able to prioritise work and work under pressure.
Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork.
Clinical Governance.
Work with the Partners and practice team towards the delivery of QOF targets and other practice objectives/targets.
Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork Desirable Experience of TPP SystmOne.
Experience of AccuRx.
Experience of digital prescribing.
Adaptability to change.
Interest in service quality improvement and Practice development.
Experience or willingness to supervise GP Trainees in their daily surgeries.

Willingness to contribute to audit and learning events.

Ability to empower patients and promote self-care but also act as patient advocate when needed.
UK driving licence and car owner.
UK work permit (if required).
MPS/MDU/MDDUS membership.
