Job summary The role is for a General Practice Assistant, Clinical Administrator, supporting two practices within our PCN, based in South Northants..This is a 12-month fixed term contract, for maternity cover, part time,30 hours per week.It is essential that you own and drive a vehicle as these are rural practices and you will be required to commute between the two sites.You will need to possess strong organisational skills and be able to communicate with a variety of people, including patients, clinicians and other NHS colleagues.You will need to demonstrate resilience and adapting to change, in the event of duties developing or altering to meet patient or business needs.
You will be self-motivated and not afraid to seek answers and find solutions.You will be able to professionally respond to patient complaints, demonstrating empathy and understanding whilst outlining practice policies.
You will possess good knowledge of Excel and Word and have exceptional admin and coordination skills.You will be personable and need to develop working relationships.A knowledge of the SystmOne clinical system is essential, as working from this system will form the basis of your daily tasks.You will work closely with the Practice Manager at each site with regard to your daily tasks / duties in line with practice protocols and objectives, and to ensure you are delivering against these.You will report into the PCN Operations Manager.You will also be expected to participate in PCN meetings / training.
Main duties of the job Your duties will be to support the practices around all clinical administrative tasks, ensuring patient records are up to date and coded correctly.
You will also be involved with patient referral admin.
You will be required to complete other administrative duties that the practice managers deem appropriate.
