General Manager - Interface Division

The RoleThese posts are being offered as a secondment opportunity in the instance with a planned review to evaluate the effectiveness of the post and new Division.This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who has the vision to support the establishment of the new Interface Division incorporating Flow Navigation Centre (FNC)+ service, virtual beds, e triage and system control and redesign.
The post holder will be a team player committed to further developing our cross system working through the development and delivery of major transformational change across the whole system.Working with senior leaders, operational teams and partners across our system to identify and drive forward improvements that will benefit patients and our workforce through effective, efficient and safe flow.
To do this you will provide leadership, guidance, establish strong relationships and use your highly developed influencing skills to effect change.

NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.What we'll need you to bringEducated to Masters Level or equivalent with extensive experience at senior management level within health services.Formal management qualificationA detailed understanding of the national and international health and social care agendaAbility to demonstrate integrity and effective leadership and management skills, together with a proven track record of achievement in strategy and policy development and implementation.Ability to develop and maintain effective, positive relationships with key partners and partner organisations, providing a positive role model for partnership working within both North and South Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnerships.A proven track record in the provision of strategic, creative and innovative solutions in meeting organisational requirements, motivating staff and providing seamless patient/client care in new integrated arrangements in conjunction with NHSL; local authorities, public and staff.Ability to provide effective credible communication and an ability to operate effectively under pressure.Contract typeFixed Term or Secondment for 6 monthsFull time37 hoursPlease note this is a fixed term post for 6 months.
Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.
The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
