We are looking for a motivated and experienced General Manager Operations to join our team and help us continue to grow and succeed.
Job Summary The General Manager position is responsible for ensuring that company contracts and support services operate in line with company service, financial and values expectations.
The incumbent is an essential part of the management team contributing to the success of the service delivery to the customer, contractual compliance, contract profitability and staff motivation.
Key Responsibilities Accountable for ensuring that all operational activity of the business is in good order and operating to the correct standards.
To ensure all customer operational requirements are being met.
Assisting with the contractual relationship with client's customers.
Ensuring that all relevant Contract Managers are functional and trained in line with expectations.
Ensuring that all vehicles are managed in a professional and safe manner.
To ensure that all site operational performance is reported accurately and compared to budgetary expectations.
To act as a Line Manager for the Contract Managers.
To manage a relationship with the supplier base.
Work alongside the operational team to ensure adequate resource is available at all times to fulfil contractual obligations.
Responsible for managing centralized customer services.
Support sub-contractor recruitment process as required.
To escalate to the MD any issues that may affect service delivery.
Ensuring contract administration is effective and compliant within customer and company expectations.
Identification of driver non-compliance from monitoring routes and resolving as appropriate.
Ensure that all contracts and sub-contractors operate in an ethical and professional manner.
People Management In regards to people supervision matters the role holder is responsible for: Managing relevant staff activities to include ensuring all contractual processes are being met.
Ensuring all Contract Managers are adequately trained in the company and customer processes and procedures as required.
Ensuring all Contract Managers have the appropriate equipment.
Escalating to the MD any staff issues that may affect the business.
Other To complete all reasonable requests made by the MD.
To lead specific projects as agreed with the MD.
Develop new operating methods to deliver commercial benefits.
To maximize operational cost savings.
To continually demonstrate an attitude that leads and inspires staff as well represents the company brand in a positive light.
Hours of Work 45 hours per week to be allocated as required by the business over an average of 5 days a week.
