Absolute Taste are looking for a General Manager to join our team at the stunning attraction site Burghley House in Stamford.
Burghley House is a fabulous Tudor mansion situated just outside Stamford, Northamptonshire and is home to the world-famous Burghley Horse Trials.
The food and beverage offering at Burghley is diverse, consisting of The Orangery Restaurant, The Garden Cafe and The Shed, along with bespoke events and weddings.
As a General Manager some of your duties will include: To ensure the delivery of the Absolute Taste expectations in food quality and service.
Always ensuring we deliver on our promise to keep food at the heart of everything we do.
To be the guardian of financial controls, compliance and operational excellence across all catering functions within the location.
Clear and efficient communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations throughout, and ensure all projects are delivered on time.
Ensure that all client and customer relationships are built, maintained and expectations exceeded at all times.
Manage our exceptional team at Burghley House, both full time and casual.
Correct liaison between all F and B parties, consultation on storage, stock control, power and staffing requirements.
Ensure quality and consistency always, in line with the company guidelines.
Manage and exercise company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies.
Manage staffing rotas, hours, holidays, lieu days and cover using the Fourth hospitality system.
To control and minimise all site specific associated costs without detriment to the business or service.
Ensure Burghley House operates efficiently and budgets are managed successfully.
To hold regular team meetings and briefing to ensure good team communication and cascade of information.
You must be: Passionate about great food and service with exceptional attention to detail.
Be inspired and creative.
A real forward thinker, being aware of market trends.
Able to work under pressure within a busy environment Have great leadership skills, leading by example.
Financially competent.
An event professional with previous experience within a similar leadership role.
