Bond Helicopters is recruiting a General Manager for our Norwich operation. As General Manager of a major offshore rotary base, you will lead the execution of the SBU's business strategy at Norwich. You will have full leadership responsibility for the performance of the base, including market strategy, business planning, business development, sales and delivery of all Norwich customer contracts, and cost-effective use of resources within the base and supporting Service Lines, Functions, and external suppliers, while operating safely and adhering to regulatory and legal requirements.

Responsibilities: Develop the Bond Norwich strategic business plan and annual budget in conjunction with the Engineering Service Line, Compliance & Assurance, and supporting Functions, ensuring that the requirements from those departments are clearly articulated and that adequate and appropriately costed resources are allocated by them to support the base.Deliver the base's financial targets as agreed through the business planning process. Report base performance, progress, risks, and opportunities regularly to the Group Executive Team through monthly and quarterly business reviews.Budget and cost management – driving cost-effectiveness of the base whilst ensuring service delivery commitments.Liaison as required with the regulatory authorities, agencies, and offshore regulators as coordinated with post holders and supporting functions.Senior Norwich base management oversight of, and non-technical responsibility for, aircraft, facilities, and equipment.Provide proactive and dynamic leadership at the base including its own people and all those who contribute to its activities.Overall functional management and coordination of the Norwich base Leadership Team, including, but not limited to:Performance management and setting of objectives in line with the overall base vision/strategic goals, ensuring each area contributes to the overall success of the operation.Ensuring each team applies and adheres to compliance, regulations, H&S, policies etc. throughout their daily operations.Act as an ambassador internally and externally for the Group's vision, values, safety culture, and customer-centric approach.Develop and maintain senior relationships with the Norwich customer base, ensuring appropriate escalation channels are in place within the SBU and with Group Executives where appropriate.Maintain a world-class portfolio of offshore rotary services that addresses identifiable customer needs within distinct target markets in accordance with the SBU business plan.Develop and maintain senior relationships with suppliers, key channels to market, and other partners.Ensure the effective management of human resources at Norwich, including attracting, hiring, and retaining high-quality personnel.Promote the wellness of Norwich base staff via informing and implementing Group policies to create a safe, diverse, inclusive, and positive working environment.Oversee and assure the implementation of Group change programmes including new systems and processes at Norwich.Ensure adherence to Group policies at Norwich and its people including employees and contractors.In partnership with People and Talent Team, liaise, negotiate and work with Trade Unions, managing the collective bargaining processes, resolving disputes and developing positive working relationships.Risk management including mitigation strategies, both operational and financial.Oversight and management of emergency response protocol in emergency situations.Key Performance Indicators: Delivery of Norwich's business plan and annual budget.Cashflow and management of accounts within agreed credit terms.Customer contract service level KPIs.On-time and on-budget delivery of projects (both customer and company-funded projects).Customer satisfaction scores and complaints response.Employee engagement and performance within their capability.Delivery of the agreed safety performance metrics for the SBU.Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: A proven manager with current offshore rotary leadership experience of flight safety, operations, helicopter maintenance, environmental compliance, and logistics in a demanding customer-centric regulated business environment.A track record of delivering profitable growth.Sales and marketing experience and aptitude necessary to lead the development of the SBU's reputation in the SNS market sector.Gravitas and ability to build effective relationships with senior clients and industry partners.Demonstrable leadership and communication skills: confident, determined, perceptive, innovative, constructive, and approachable.Ability to manage emergency response situations – helicopter incident or offshore/oil rig situations.Financial literacy, commercial acumen, strong negotiating ability, an eye for detail, and ability to identify and manage cost drivers.High integrity, open and honest management style and a genuine empathy for employees at all levels, employing the necessary conflict resolution and negotiation skills.Ability to positively engage, and productively negotiate, with Trade Unions.Good numerical and IT skills.In addition to a Competitive Salary, we will offer you: Competitive Group Pension Scheme.Comprehensive Life Assurance.Comprehensive Income Protection.Comprehensive Travel Insurance.Comprehensive Private Healthcare (after successful passing of probation).Investment in Training, Qualifications and Professional Development.*(Subject to insurance underwriting) Due to the volume of applications received, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
