Our Building Services team are looking for a General Manager to join the team at Papworth Hospital.
Purpose of the Role: The purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the site team in providing a safe, environmentally sound, efficient, effective business in line with the Skanska values and way of working. This will include ensuring the delivery and support teams complete all PPM and reactive works activities to ensure a safe, secure, compliant and seamless service is provided to the agreed contract specification across the site.
What you'll bring to the role: Lead the team in ensuring PFI contract compliance.Continuously explore ways to improve delivery to customers and the client, and through this achieve excellence in asset performance and customer services across the site whilst ensuring that "best practice" is shared between Healthcare PFI projects.As head of the Site Management team, lead the creation and delivery of the key objectives, goals, strategies, measures and benchmark standards. To continuously review existing services, specifications, processes and productivity levels, to secure and increase the efficient use of resources for the technicians and subcontractors.Ensure effective performance review structures are in place and that data measurement and review drives continuous improvement in maintenance performance.Empower others to successfully implement improvements through different methods.Be a key contact to build and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with members of the delivery team and colleagues both within Skanska, the Project Company and the Barts Trust.Member of industry association (BIFM, CIBSE or similar).Experience of continuous performance improvement of both processes and people.Proven leadership and development skills.Client relationship management skills.Good all round communication skills.A good leader, commercially and financially astute and with the ability to provide positive leadership and clear direction to a wide-ranging team.Equal Opportunities: We thrive through embracing differences, whether they be social backgrounds, ethnicity, disability, gender identity or expression, age, religion, sexual orientation and any other protected characteristic – we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
