General Manager (Aviation Ground Support Equipment) Permanent - Heathrow Join our Tool Support company as a General Manager at Heathrow Airport.

If so, the leading global provider of maintenance and repair services for ground support equipment and tooling is looking for you to lead our UK operations.
About Us We are experts in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting aircraft ground support equipment across Europe and the Middle East.
With a base in the UK and a presence across key locations including Cardiff, Prestwick, Gatwick, Biggin Hill, and more, we deliver world-class services to some of the biggest names in the aviation industry.
Position Overview This role oversees our UK operations, driving business growth while ensuring that customer commitments are consistently met and exceeded.
You'll be responsible for managing teams, optimizing contract performance, and delivering financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop teams to deliver outstanding service while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
Business Growth: Identify opportunities to expand services and increase profitability by nurturing client relationships and securing additional contracts.
Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies, while driving efficiency and service excellence across our operations.
Financial Oversight: Develop and manage financial plans, ensuring revenue and profit targets are achieved, and all contracts are delivered on budget.
Team & Succession Planning: Ensure contracts are staffed with highly skilled teams, providing ongoing development and succession planning for key roles.
Client Focus: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring we consistently exceed their expectations.
What We're Looking For Proven experience in senior management within engineering or maintenance environments, particularly in the aerospace or similar sectors.
A track record of contract or project management, with strong financial acumen and the ability to deliver business growth.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams to success.
A collaborative mindset, able to work with other senior leaders to develop the business and support company-wide objectives.
Willingness to travel to our UK offices and customer locations, with occasional overnight stays.
Key Skills and Qualities Visionary Leadership: Strong motivational and influencing abilities with a passion for driving team performance and customer service excellence.
Organised & Strategic: Analytical and creative, with the ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments.
IT Proficiency: Comfortable with technology, including various business and project management platforms.
Personal Integrity: High level of energy and professionalism, with a calm and organized approach.
