A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a person to join our client in Belfast who specialises in International Ocean Freight Services along with general Freight Forwarding activities.
Our client has become one of the most successful International Ocean Freight providers in Northern Ireland and they are looking to hire a General Manager/ Senior Freight Forwarder
The candidate hired for this role will be responsible for the overall delivery and quality of the businesses services whilst ensuring the customer experience is of the highest level.
Our client is looking for a driven and ambitious individual that will bring a positive and friendly attitude to daily operations and assist in the growth of the business.
You must have a strong working knowledge of the Northern Ireland market as well as a strong understanding of the Deep Sea Freight Forwarding sector.
A day-to-day hands-on approach is needed.
Duties Include:
Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followedManagement of Import/Export TeamSetting & Monitoring KPIs and completing Management reportingProviding guidance to and support managers and staff members as required.Monitoring Customer Service SatisfactionCriteria/ Experience Required
Must have a minimum of 5 years deep sea freight experience and a background of working in NI / UKPlanning and forecasting.Freight Forwarding knowledge & experience of Deep-Sea Ocean Freight (Exports & Imports)Good communication and negotiation skills.Effective management and delegation skillsConfident communicator with the ability to lead and manage teamsSome Customs knowledge would be desirablePackage:
