We are assisting in the recruitment of a General Manager to join this well-established and well-managed business with an established team in place.
This is a fantastic, premium site located on the outskirts of Newbury with several bedrooms, offering a premium branded dining menu as well as a relaxed pub feel.
The venue has a regular level of trade, an established team, with a large bar area, dining area, and beer garden.
It has the capacity to host functions, offering a mix of parties, corporate, and wedding options.
We are looking for a General Manager to inherit this successful business.
You will:
Maintain and build on the successful reputation of the businessEngage with your team of circa 25 team members and ensure the high level of customer service expectedControl budgets and manage the P&L of the businessIdentify new opportunities for the businessEngage with the local community and promote the venue both locally and onlineOrganise bookings and provide accurate forecastingReporting to the Area Operations Manager, you will have gained experience in a premium dining establishment and have experience in a venue that generates in excess of 1m per annum.
You will:
Have excellent communication skillsBe able to market the business both locally and via social networksUnderstand a seasonal site, able to work in venues that can hit 50k peak seasonBe someone who can fully engage with your team and lead them to deliver exceptional serviceUnderstand branded processes but retain a degree of entrepreneurship and take ownership of the venueThis is a great opportunity at a busy, premium venue.
