We're looking for a General Foreman to join our Natural Resources team, on our Severn Trent water framework working from site at Wanlip, Leicestershire.
Location : Wanlip, Leicestershire Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know Responsibilities We're looking for a General Foreman to join our NRNN business unit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing safety onsite and ensuring tasks are carried out with the highest level of expertise and skill.
Your day to day will include: Managing Safety on site including giving inductions and effective Toolbox Talks, Daily Task Briefings and Point of Work assessments to Site Operatives.
Implement the requirements of work safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and other works procedures ensuring they comply with the relevant documentation.
Allocating duties and supervise Site Operatives and site tasks to ensure tasks carried out are within their levels of skill and expertise.
Also, carry out Site Inductions when required as well as ensuring all site operatives are wearing appropriate PPE at all times during site tasks.
Organising and requisitioning Site Equipment/ Plant and Materials to ensure completion of works and review and maintain plant reports as effectively as possible.
And ensure all site operatives are trained to use any plant and equipment and they are using it safely and for its correct purpose at all times.
Co-ordinating with Line Managers on managing work methods which are technically sound, safe, economically viable, feasible and consistent and advise them of any items which may impact / change the contract programme.
Maintain daily records of site tasks and liaise with the Line Managers to produce information for progress reports and monitor the attendance of Site Operatives and check the daily allocation sheets for accuracy and correct reporting of additional instructed work.
Run and Maintain Short Interval Control.
What are we looking for?
This role of General Foreman is great for you if: Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of the set up and day to day running of a construction site.
NVQ Level 1 or 2.
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold, Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
SSSTS.
