Our client is a multinational company, looking for a General Counsel for all legal, compliance and data protection related matters for all their UK legal entities.
The successful candidate must have knowledge of public procurement in the UK.
Based in Enfield, North London this company has a hybrid working policy needing employees to be in the office 3 days per week.
Key responsibilities:Lead and support the legal departmentDraft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreementsProvide effective legal advice and ensure the compliance with laws as well as adherence to the respective legal and compliance processesBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders across other departmentsWork together with the business to develop strategies in the event of disputesManagement of external counsel law firmsResponsible for the management of a small legal teamThe successful candidate:Will have profound knowledge of the public procurement law in the UKAn English qualified solicitor ideally with at least 7 years' post qualified experienceWork closely with the company's Compliance Officer and Data Protection OfficerHave good communication and strong interpersonal skillsHave a commercial / business outlook to their workOur client envisages that candidates will have at least 7 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
