General Counsel (Sole Counsel) Tech/telecoms firm Based in Oxfordshire /Cotswolds £100K-£105K + bonus The duties: Providing legal counsel to the Board, C-Suite and operational management; Managing legal risk and compliance in multiple jurisdictions; Negotiating and executing strategically important commercial agreements with some of the World's leading companies in the UK, Europe and the US; Support the supply chain management process with effective contract documentation that apportions risk effectively and appropriately Support the pursuit of the IP Strategy in the identification, protection and exploitation of business-critical technology and secure relationships with key technology partners; Provide legal support to other functions including IT and HR as necessary Manage and resolve customer claims and other disputes Establishing an organisation for the provision of legal services, implementing a legal risk management and compliance model comprising policies, procedures, training and development programmes whilst adopting a strategy for the cost-effective procurement of external legal resources Company Secretarial Services Requirements Practising solicitor or barrister Qualified in the UK and registered with SRA or the Bar Association Broad generalist experience (mainly commercial) from an in-house role
