Job summary This is a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist role at Rosebank House Hospital, a small and friendly mental health rehabilitation service in Reading.
The role involves providing clinical expertise and leadership to ensure best practice care is delivered to patients with complex mental health needs.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with NHS clinicians and commissioners.
Main duties of the job As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for ensuring that people admitted to the service are assessed, treated, and discharged safely.
Your duties will include medication management, quality assurance, complaints handling, and delivery of NICE guidance.
You will also lead and manage the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and Integrated Care Review (ICR) process to maintain full compliance with quality standards.

Working 15 hours a week at Rosebank House Hospital alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will be the clinical expert from a medical perspective to ensure best practice care is delivered and support the team.
You will also work collaboratively with NHS clinicians and commissioners.
Rosebank House Hospital is a small, friendly and established Open mental health Rehab service in Reading, with a team that works well together and supports each other.

Your responsibilities will include: Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely Medication management Quality assurance, complaints and co-production Delivery of NICE guidance Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards To be successful in this role, you will need: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Full GMC registration with licence to practice MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists Section 12(2) approval, Approved Clinician status Clinical training and experience required for gaining UK CCT.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential To be successful in this role, you will need an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, full GMC registration with a licence to practice, MRCPsych or equivalent, Section 12(2) approval, and Approved Clinician status.
