Job Advertisement: Teacher of Mathematics (Part-Time) Position: Teacher of Mathematics Salary: Lecturer Spine – Band B, £20,092 - £23,964 per annum (pro rata to the full-time equivalent of £33,487 to £39,941 per annum) Hours: Part-time (22.2 hours per week) Location: Moulton, Northamptonshire About the Role We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring Teacher who is passionate about learning and teaching Mathematics at GCSE and Functional Skills levels.
This role offers a flexible contract, ideal for those looking for part-time work.
Key Responsibilities Lecture and train students and other client groups to the quality standards set by the College.
Teach Mathematics to GCSE level as directed by the Head of School.
Tutor and manage one or more courses or groups of students.
Develop the Maths curriculum alongside the Head of School.
Act as a course tutor to full-time and part-time groups, including the associated organisation, administration, and monitoring of attendances.
Collect data for course evaluation.
Qualifications and Experience Educated to degree or A level in Mathematics, or equivalent.
Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
Hold or be willing to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
Commitment to, and evidence of, Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Assessor/Verifier Qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
Personal Qualities Ability to influence, persuade, and inspire others.
Demonstrated ability to lead on developing, planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality, motivational, and inclusive learning experiences.
Ability to motivate students and improve student satisfaction.
