Sector: Building Supplies - Builders Merchants - Construction Location: North Yorkshire Harrogate / Knaresborough Salary: £32,000 - 36,000 DOE Our business is currently recruiting for a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman to lead and manage a team of Yard Operatives working within a successful Builders Merchant.
Role Review stock and par levels of the facility and report accordingly Monitor loading and stacking ensuring accuracy of delivery Be aware of and ensure all health and safety compliance is paramount Drive and develop a customer service culture with effective communication As a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman you will be responsible for, motivate and develop colleagues to achieve a high standard of work.
Supervisory or managerial experience is preferred, but non-essential as full training on the specifics as a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman will be given.
Previous experience of working in a busy yard is essential, although not necessarily at managerial level, as it is pivotal to the smooth running of the business as a whole.
To be successful as a Yard Manager / Yard Foreman you will need to be pro-active and willing to develop as the activities are wide and varying.
Previous experience within a Builders Merchant environment would be advantageous but by no means essential.
