Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a Gateway receptionists to join our diverse and motivated team that are dedicated to the development of skills and the delivery of high quality safe care.
The post is at Daycase theatres on Gateway G at the Treatment Centre.As the Gateway Receptionists, you will often be the first point of contact for patients and visitors when entering the unit so a friendly, welcoming smile and excellent communication skills are essential.
Main duties of the job Tasks will include but not be limited to fulfilling all necessary reception, clerical, administrative and general tasks required to facilitate and record patient information using technology systems.
Staff are expected to be courteous and considerate at all times and have excellent customer care.Basic computer skills will be needed and an understanding of Microsoft word and excel.
Basic typing skills is a necessity preferably at RSA level 2.
NUH programmes such as Careflow, Bluespire, Notis would be an advantage.

Person Specification Training & Qualifications Essential To be educated to 'O' level, GCSE or equivalent Experience of Microsoft packages Desirable To possess 5 GCSE A-C passes including English and Maths or equivalent Experience Essential Proven general office experience.
Customer Service Skills.
Experience of Team Working.
Good time management, planning and organisational skills required to prioritise workload.
Desirable Previous Employment within a Healthcare field.
Knowledge of clinic reception work.
18 week RTT knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of hospital IT systems, Careflow, Notis.
Communication and Relationship skills Essential Clear and precise verbal and written communication.
Desirable Ability to forge good working relationships with those around them.
