Position: Fundraising & Origination Specialist (Private Equity - Secondaries) Reports to: Head of Fundraising & Origination Role Summary: Seeking a skilled Private Equity professional to drive fundraising and origination activities with a specialized focus on secondaries, LP interests, and deal execution.
This role will identify, evaluate, and close secondary investments, manage LP relationships, and contribute to strategic fundraising initiatives.
I need candidates with a strong track record of fundraising specifically by investors that are both LPs and Direct Investments.
90% - 95% of experience should be fund raising on indirect and direct PE Private Markets Deals.
You MUST have a demonstrable record of closed investment obtained from relationship investors.
Key Responsibilities: Origination & Pipeline Development: Identify and evaluate secondary market opportunities, focusing on LP stakes and GP-led transactions.
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and other LPs to source deal flow.
Fundraising & Investor Relations: Support and lead fundraising initiatives by creating compelling materials, presentations, and data analytics for prospective investors.
Engage with LPs and key stakeholders to assess their investment appetite, structure solutions, and optimize terms.
Deal Closing & Execution: Oversee due diligence processes, financial modeling, and risk assessment for secondary transactions.
Drive deal negotiations and lead transaction closing, ensuring alignment with regulatory, financial, and legal requirements.
Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities within secondary markets.
Contribute to the firm's investment strategy by providing market insights and supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Qualifications: Experience: 5-10 years of relevant Private Equity experience, with a focus on secondary transactions, LP interests, and fundraising.
Technical Skills: Proficient in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence within a secondary market context.
Relationship Management: Strong network within the LP community and institutional investors; proven track record in cultivating and managing these relationships.
Deal Closing: Demonstrated expertise in structuring, negotiating, and closing secondary market deals.
Preferred Attributes: Analytical Mindset: Highly analytical with a deep understanding of secondaries and private equity transaction mechanics.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate value propositions to LPs.
Execution-Oriented: Proven ability to work independently and lead deal processes with a high degree of precision.
