The Role We are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to join a leading provider in the training sector.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver Functional Skills courses in English and Maths, a key component of an Apprenticeship Standard, to a diverse group of learners.
Manage mixed-level groups of trainees, including those with learning difficulties (max class size: 16).
Conduct assessments, invigilate exams, and mark assignments.
Provide fair, constructive feedback both in written and verbal formats.
Offer remedial training and revision as required during working hours.
Prepare lesson plans, learning resources, and student support materials.
Regularly review teaching inputs in response to changing needs of students and the programme.
This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) with hybrid working arrangements: 4 weeks in the office/on-site and 1 week working remotely.
Essential Experience: Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven experience in delivering training or teaching in a similar environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Understanding of work-based learning programmes.
Qualifications: Functional Skills Level 2 English.
Functional Skills Level 2 Maths.
