As a Functional Skills Tutor at HMP Foston Hall, you'll be working directly with small groups of learners in the prison setting, helping them build foundational skills in English and math (up to Level 2).
Your role will be pivotal in guiding these learners toward their personal and professional goals, empowering them to create brighter futures.
In this role, you'll: Develop and deliver high-quality courses tailored to the needs of each learner.
Provide guidance, support, and practical skills that prepare learners for long-term success.
Create engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to inspire and motivate.
What You Bring to the Table: A Level 3 qualification in English or Math (or equivalent).
Extensive experience in your field and a track record of successful training delivery.
Ideally, a teaching or assessing qualification (though we can help you achieve this as part of your onboarding!).
A dynamic approach to teaching, with creative methods to engage diverse learners.
