Functional Safety Compliance Engineer Gloucestershire 25216/520 £45,000 - £55,000 & Comprehensive benefits This is a newly created role where you will be working for one of the world\'s leading engineering and scientific based companies.
The business is well established and has an excellent reputation for the design and installation of high value turn-key equipment for a global market.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Functional Safety Compliance Engineer who will manage the safety of product and equipment.
This is a hybrid role, with three days expected on site.

o You will risk assess equipment designs, identifying and defining system requirements and provide expert advice and input around functional safety and compliance.
o Collaborate within a multi-disciplined team, gathering requirements to understand the purpose and use of equipment.
o Risk Assess equipment designs, identifying / defining safety system requirements, working to define appropriate safety system architectures when required.
o Assess designs of safety circuits and systems, to achieve the defined safety ratings.
Generate related documentation and provide guidance and training as required.
Undertake Machinery Safety assessments and undertake / manage all aspects of \'13849\' Part 1 (& 2) and related Standards.
Undertake / lead FMEDA/FMEA activities where required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: o Qualified to HNC level in Electrical Engineering o Experience with high tech electrical / mechanical machines and power systems o Familiar with a number of the following: 2006/42/EC - Machinery Directive, 2014/35/EU low Voltage Directive, or BS EN 60204 - Safety of Machinery o Experience with adjustable speed electrical power drive systems Safety requirements.
