- $225,000 to $260,000 Guaranteed Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is an outpatient rheumatology role in a multi-specialty group practice, treating patients with rheumatic diseases such as lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, osteoporosis, and more.
Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to: review patient histories and perform physical examinationsconsult with patients to determine appropriate courses of treatmentprovide appropriate treatments and patient care plansexamine and diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal systemexamine and diagnose disorders and diseases of the immune systemrecommend and order tests to determine extent of illnesses and help diagnose conditionsdiagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and jointsobtain lab reports (including x-rays) and prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs / other medicationssuggest OT or PT to patients suffering from arthritis and other types of joint disordersprovide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needscommunicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality careparticipate in medical staff educational programs and meetings A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled.
All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.
The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Rheumatology
- 1+ year of practice experience in an outpatient setting
