A UK, Guildford based Technology company is undergoing rapid expansion and is seeking a talented Developer to work at the highest level of virtual reality.
You will be responsible for implementing Web/Database functionality, translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging product.
Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in strong programming and coding skills, a keen eye for detail, and the analytical skills to identify potential issues.
Working across departments, this role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and a good team ethic to unify a common vision.
You will play an integral role for features and projects and form a fundamental part in shaping the development.
Objectives of this Role Take ownership and manage the code elements of the features and components of the product life cycle Collaborate with other members of the development team to deliver large and complex functions and features on time and to a high standard Be part of the Product Design & Software Development process and contribute improvements and suggestions, driving the quality of the code throughout the entire production cycle Collaborate with other Developers in the team and help maintain code, product, and process quality Work with the other teams to ensure schedules and goals meet business and project needs Conduct code reviews and be part of the hiring process for future colleagues Bring meaningful contributions to our product and the entire team Good communicator with both technical and non-technical parties Good initiative and the ability to work autonomously Daily and Monthly Responsibilities Plan and implement high-quality features working as part of the wider team Transform design specification into functional assets Establish an effective strategy and development pipeline Quickly create and iterate on prototypes showcasing new builds Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code Optimize performance by quickly identifying and fixing bottlenecks to ensure experience is smooth and efficient.
Skills and Qualifications Extensive experience with Web and Database Development Strong object-oriented programming and scripting language and databaseskills HTML 5, Angular JS, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, Bootstrap REST API, WebSocket MySQL, DB2 PHP, Python, C# Experience working on source control systems such as Git.
Experience in working with Cloud technologies and Web APIs Knowledge of Unity 3D Game engine is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related field(s)
