Job summary An exciting opportunity has become available within the Information Governance team to join our team as a Freedom of Information Support Officer.
We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy team, who is a team player with both excellent written and verbal / listening communication skills.
You will need to demonstrate strong administrative and IT skills, as well as the ability to organise and prioritise your work in order to meet tight deadlines, with great attention to detail.
The role requires presence on site (hybrid working) Vacancy may close earlier due to volume of applications.

Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for supporting the Information Governance Manager in all matters relating to Freedom of Information requests and the Trusts Publication Scheme.
You will be expected to support other members of the IG team as and when required.You will provide a comprehensive and a highly efficient FOI service for the Trust.The job description provides an overview of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role and the personal spec outlines the qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge required.

Person Specification Education and Training Essential Good knowledge of Microsoft products namely Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications; Computer Literacy and Information Technology ( ECDL, CLAIT level 1,2 or 3) Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (inc mathematics).
Desirable Good knowledge of all MS Office applications; A-level / NVQ3 (or equivalent).
Experience Essential Previous clerical experience.
Desirable 12 months experience with Information Governance within an acute Trust.
Knowledge and Skills Essential Understanding of the Freedom of Information Act 2000; Understanding of the Trust policy on Freedom of Information; Understanding of Records Management.
