Job description FP&A Analyst Base Location: Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham or Watford plus network of 20 offices nationally: The KPMG Business Services function is a cornerstone of our UK business.

Why Join KPMG as a FP&A Analyst Sitting within the firm's central FP&A team, the FP&A Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm to set out and achieve its medium to long term financial objectives.The role is tasked with compiling financial models and analyses in relation to strategic initiatives and firmwide plans, as well as supporting in the maintenance of accurate accounting records for the firm's larger investment programmes.
It is best suited for an enthusiastic and pro-active team player, who enjoys a pristine-level of data modelling skills and a strong finance technical knowledge, that have been applied in relevant past experience.
What will you be doing?
Develop and maintain robust data models for use in the process of investment decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.Using Power Query, efficiently extract, clean, and transform data from different sources.
Data integrity and accuracy is of utmost importance.Prepare and analyse a range of financial reports, including period-end results, forecasts, and ad-hoc analyses, to support business planning and investment management/decisions.Track and evaluate performance (cost and benefits), helping to identify areas of improvement and providing recommendations to optimise performance.Maintain accurate accounting records in respect of investment programmes.
Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence as required.By leveraging one's own skills & knowledge, support the team and the wider CFO office in identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency & effectiveness.Undertake special projects and other assignments as required, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the finance function in enabling the success of the organisation.Be an advocate for change programmes delivered by Finance / KBS, including automation tools, self-service, standardisation and any other changes in ways of workingKeep abreast with the relevant accounting standards and regulations, the latest data modelling techniques/technology, and associated best industry practices.
What will you need to do it?
Qualified/part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA or similar) or Accounting/Finance related degree preferred.Demonstrable relevant experience Advanced proficiency in Ms Excel and data modelling using Power Query.Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools (SAP, Power BI) is preferred.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
