Position summary: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting operational cost efficiency and financial planning.
You will be responsible for collecting and recording historical data for accurate future forecasting, managing a financial database, and preparing detailed financial reports.
Responsibilities: Support efforts to optimise operational costs.
Collect and record historical financial data for accurate forecasting.
Create and prepare detailed financial reports.
Manage and maintain financial records and statements in the database.
Produce initial balance sheet schedules.
Ensure accurate monthly reporting, including correct coding of transactions.
Prepare analytical financial reports for the Finance Manager.
Identify cost movements and perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by the Finance Manager or the board.
Conduct variance analysis to monitor financial performance.
Key Skills: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role Strong analytical skills to collect, interpret, and utilize historical data for forecasting and decision-making A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in producing balance sheet schedules Experience in creating, preparing, and presenting detailed financial reports Competence in managing and maintaining financial records and databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
High level of precision to ensure financial reports, coding, and balance sheets are accurate and in compliance with company policies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly present financial findings and collaborate with management and other departments.
Proficiency in financial software, Excel, and reporting tools to efficiently prepare reports, manage databases, and conduct analysis.
