Vacancy Part Time Forest School Leader – Fixed term contract initially 6/1/25 to 31/12/25.
Hours: Three days a week 1.45pm to 4.15pm, term time only.
FTE annual salary: £28,340.00 Actual annual salary: £4,765.48 Qualification required: Forest School Level 3 from an accredited provider.Purpose: To work with whole classes with class teachers and small groups independently.
Dear Candidate,Thank you for your interest in this exciting Forest School post at Glebe Primary School, to commence in the week of 6th January 2025.
This is a shorter contract due to budgetary uncertainty in the future but it is our hope to sustain the post if at all possible and also if successful.
The previous post holder left in Summer 2024 but kindly established the learning area and resourced it with us over the last twelve or so months.
We have a wonderful school site with great facilities and plenty of outdoor space.
Our forest school area is a good size and we have a Yurt/ outside classroom and great potential in our grounds for the right person.
Our forest school area has been developed well and we have a good store shed with helpful resources.
The provision was developed fully during 2023 to 2024.
It is our intention to develop forest school as part of our curriculum offer with the successful candidate working with class teachers to give all children access to quality outdoor experiences.
We also seek to run an after school club three days a week for up to twelve children each session.
We are looking for a talented and experienced colleague who has the Forest School Level 3 full qualification.
The ideal candidate would have primary school age group experience also.
