Jardox are currently recruiting a Technical Compliance Officer to join our Technical Team.

We specialise in stocks, gravies, curry pastes, marinades, glazes, sausage & burger seasonings and herb & spice based products.
This role is the first Compliance role to be based in Wincanton (the rest of the team being based at our Head Office in Sevenoaks, Kent), and therefore there is a great opportunity to really make this role your own.
You will be based in Wincanton, but will be required to travel to our Head Office and visit our suppliers to carry out audits.
Expenses will of course be fully paid for.
We are happy for you to work 1-2 days a week from home each week, around audit commitments.
Your day will involve...
Maintaining the raw materials and packaging database and the supplier database to a high level of accuracy.
Requesting completion of Jardox technical forms from suppliers, reviewing/approving them, and monitoring the review status on Jardox databases.
Working with the Supplier Compliance Manager to ensure the documents held on file contain correct information and are up to date.
Assessing raw materials compliance against the relevant customers Codes of Practice, legislation and internal requirements.
Liaising with suppliers to ensure the accurate information is received and reviewed as required.
Working closely with Specifications, Product Technologists, NPD and Sales Teams to ensure all internal and customer queries related to suppliers/raw materials/packaging are actioned or escalated.
Dealing with Customer Enquiries, SAQs etc.
Carrying out Internal Audits in accordance with our Internal Audit Matrix.
Carrying out Supplier Audits to demonstrate compliance with the relevant procedures and standards.
Adopting an effective approach to define the scope and targets for supplier audits.
We are ideally looking for you to have an existing qualification in third party auditing but we would be happy to fund training for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will: Have previous experience in a similar role in a Quality/Technical Team within a food manufacturing environment.
Have qualifications in Food Safety, HACCP and TACCP/VACCP.
Be computer literate and able to collate and trend data.
Have excellent numerical/verbal reasoning.
Be able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Have excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
Be able to communicate professionally at all levels.
A third party Auditor certification would be beneficial.
This role is full time, 8am - 5pm.
Our team is free to leave at 4.30pm if everything is sorted.
We close between Christmas and New Year and contribute to your pension at a rate of 5.5%.
Holiday allowance is 25 days per year (plus bank holidays).
