Food Process Technologist

The Company This premium and well-loved brand continues to innovate and delight with their great tasting products.
They are now seeking a Process Technologist to join their talented food team.
The Role Reporting into the NPD Manager, you take a key role in the NPD ensemble.
Working closely with the creative team, you will ensure that new food concepts can be turned into tasty products seen on the supermarket shelves.
You will be coordinating and overseeing production trials so that key projects are on time and on track.
You will liaise with fellow NPD team members including Development Chefs and NPD Technologists to understand new concepts fully.
You will then be part of turning these into viable products, which achieve great taste, high quality and commercial success.
To achieve these goals, you will frequently collaborate with the Technical and Production teams to foresee any technical hurdles, or production issues that may arise and find solutions along the way.
Along with running production trials, completing product documentation and assisting with artwork sign off, you will communicate with various site teams about project needs, ensuring they are clued in, prepared and trained for new launches.
Along with this, you will attend taste panels and weekly NPD meetings to help steer projects in the right direction.
The Person This is a collaborative role where strong communication and organisational skills are vital.
Amazing attention to detail, the drive to deliver projects and previous hands-on food industry experience within the NPD or Process department are all musts.
You'll have a strong understanding of product launch procedures and will be at ease taking responsibility for carrying out trials, working to a critical path and implementing HACCP principles.
Suit a Food Science/ Technology graduate who gained some great industry experience and keen to further their career with a values driven food brand.
