Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded programme and is available in targeted areas supporting all families to give 0-3-year olds a Flying Start in life.
The programme aims to provide intensive support services for children and their families.The focus of the programme is on promoting language, cognitive, social and emotional skills, physical development and the early identification of high needs.
This is achieved through the delivery of health support and guidance, parenting groups and support and free part time childcare.
About the rolePay Details: Grade 5, SCP 8 -12 - £25.902 - £27.621 paHours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per weekMain Place of Work: BarryTemporary Reason: Welsh Government funding until 31.3.2025 Description:To deliver high quality 1:1 support in families homes with children aged 0-4 years.
To deliver early years groups to families in the designated areas of Flying Start.
About youYou will need: Minimum three years experience of working with Children and FamiliesMinimum two years of working directly in Family SupportExperience of working within the Early Years sectorKnowledge of early intervention initiativesGood knowledge of Children's Development and PlayAbility to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to workAbility to work one to one with parents in their homeLevel 3 in Early Years, Education, CCLD or a relevant equivalent qualification (must be related to 0-4year old development)
