\n \n Role & Responsibilities \n As a Reach Forklift Truck Driver, you will be/have: \n \n Formal training and experience operating reach forklift trucks* \n A good knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace \n The ability to meet the physical demands of the job - this would encompass manual handling/picking/moving of boxes, as well as using machinery \n The ability to operate machinery including forklifts and pallet jacks \n Good organisational skills \n The ability to follow instructions \n Being able to stay focused in busy or loud environments, and not get distracted \n Basic math skills to make load calculation and estimate lifting height and covered distances \n Basic literacy is advantageous \n \n *Delete if unqualified candidates will be considered to start with on-the-job training provided \n \n Personal traits \n As a Reach Forklift Truck Driver, you will be: \n \n Reliable and dependable \n Mature and able to work sensibly is very important - operating any forklift has the potential to be dangerous and cause injury or damage, so you will be required to take the job seriously and always act with a high level of professionalism \n Strong when it comes to attention to detail \n Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to work efficiently \n Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks \n Someone who enjoys working systematically and productively \n A team player with a positive attitude \n \n \n Main Duties/Responsibilities \n As a Reach Forklift Truck Driver, you will: \n \n Store, pick and move stock as required using a reach Forklift Truck \n Ensure stock is placed in the correct areas and codes accurately \n Move delivered products from vehicles into the warehouse \n Stack and palletise product \n Move pallets of products to and between warehouse racks \n Use automatic and manual packing machines, scales and printing devices, label and manage inventory \n Work both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete work and strive to maintain the business performance targets \n Ensure the relevant paperwork or PC-based data entry/scanning is complete for each of task \n Be responsible for vehicle maintenance and adhering to health and safety regulations \n Noticing when machinery isn't working properly and acting appropriately \n Be required to accurately move loads in confined spaces and estimate the weights of loads \n Duties may also include using other equipment types including hand trucks, counterbalance forklifts, sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, cherry-pickers, clamp and reach forklifts, industrial lift trucks, and pallet jacks \n \n \n Qualifications/Licences/Certifications/Experience \n \n Reach Forklift Truck licence \n \n Benefits: \n Hourly Rate of Pay £11.80 plus a weekly allowance and enhanced overtime rates.
