About the role To operate the cell sorters and maintain all flow cytometry instruments in the Flow Cytometry Core Facility at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH) under the supervision of the Facility Manager, to ensure routine maintenance of instruments including daily start up, cleaning and quality-control of all flow cytometry instruments in the core facility, to serve as a key resource in technical and scientific expertise, including experimental design, sample preparation, and protocol development for a diverse array of users from multiple disciplines, including immunology, oncology, biochemistry, hematology, and gene and cell therapy.

The salary for this post is £43, pa. About you Holder of BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject area, experience of conducting basic research in immunology and/or molecular biology, extensive experience in flow cytometry cell analysis and cell sorting, work independently under minimal supervision, organisation skills: ability to participate in organisation of laboratory, communication skills: verbal and written, ability to work effectively in a laboratory.
