Job Description About The Role  Our ever-expanding production team is looking for a Floor Plan QA to join our team working on global projects.
The Floor-plan QA ensures that architectural floor plans meet the company's and client's quality standards before final approval and distribution.
This position involves detailed reviews, comparisons, and cross-referencing between client specifications and the floor plans to detect discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in measurements, layouts, symbols, and annotations.
The role is essential in maintaining high-quality standards for floor plan renderings.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in surveying, an understanding of measurement standards, and the ability to effectively communicate and document measurement procedures and results.
Below are some of the tasks you will be expected to undertake : Document and ensure clarity in the principles of measurement and calculation, specifying: The intended use of the building or part thereof, especially in mixed-use scenarios The applicable standard used (e.g., IPMS 1, IPMS 2, IPMS 3.1, IPMS 3.2, IPMS 4.1, or IPMS 4.2) The method of measurement and tools utilised The unit of measurement The date of measurement Verification of measurements on-site and the validation process Review architectural floor plans to ensure compliance with design standards, project requirements, and client specifications.
Verify the accuracy of measurements, dimensions, and scaling on all floor plans.
Check symbols, annotations, and legends for clarity and correctness.
Maintain documentation of QA processes, defects identified, and the corrective measures taken.
Ensure timely turnaround on quality checks to meet project deadlines.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the quality control process.
Knowledge, Skills & Training  Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of architectural floor plans, building layouts, and construction drawings.
Proficiency and competence with RICS Code of Measuring Practice Comprehensive understanding of International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) for both commercial and residential buildings, including knowledge of inclusions and exclusions for GIA/NIA Excellent attention to detail with a strong analytical ability to identify errors or discrepancies.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
