We are seeking a experienced Fleet Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team working across sites in North Yorkshire and Country Durham.
This operationally critical role involves comprehensive management, maintenance, and optimisation of a fleet of 100+ vehicles, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations.
As Fleet Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of skilled mechanics and technicians, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities: Fleet Maintenance: Develop preventive maintenance programmes, troubleshoot issues, and keep detailed records.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure vehicles meet all regulations, conduct safety audits, and enforce protocols.
Vendor Management: Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement.
Data Analysis: Use fleet management software to track performance and generate reports.
Innovation: Implement new solutions to enhance fleet performance and fuel efficiency.
Emergency Planning: Develop response plans for breakdowns and incidents.
Qualifications: Qualification in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
Experience in fleet management.
Strong leadership and budget management skills.
Proficiency in fleet management software.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
