Description To ensure the safe, legally compliant, and efficient day to day management of the fleet whilst delivering the most cost-effective solutions for fleet maintenance.

Key Responsibilities Responsible for managing the company's fleet maintenance and administration of vehicle maintenance documentation systems, taking reasonable cost cutting measure for fleet maintenance.
To assist Transport Manager in managing all aspects of the company Operator licence, including being named as a transport manager on the Operator Licence.
Ensure that all DVSA compliance standards as well as companies own compliance standards are always adhered to, this includes timely scheduling for PMI, MOT, drivers' routine checks Investigate any missing mileage from Tachograph reports (Monthly Reporting on Vehicle Compliance -PMI/Tacho/MOT/LOLER) Plan and schedule vehicle service, MOT, other defect maintenance, pressure tests, LOLER inspections and other related and proactive maintenance Ensure all incidents and accidents reported are fully investigated and actions taken as necessary via Driver Operation Supervisor team Managing vehicle accidents and working with our current insurers Daily monitoring of relevant KPI's, attend monthly meeting and produce performance report of equipment and processes, including volumes, downtime and staff performance together with cost and revenue items Utilise external contractors and internal resource to complete defects and maintenance in timely and cost-effective manner To improve operations and efficiency via constant improvement, research and development Conduct team toolbox talks on specified topics Keeping accurate compliance records and ensuring successful completion of audits Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required HGV Class 1 or Class 2 CPC International Operators Licence (Haulage) Experience of FORS Accreditation Compliance Management experience in transport Good knowledge of Transport and Driver Regulations Clearly able to demonstrate experience of implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve service and efficiency, whilst reducing costs.
