The Southwater Infant Academy is looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner who, if applicable, currently holds the National Award for Special Needs Co-ordination, or who is willing to undertake the training needed to achieve this.

We are looking for someone who: •is an outstanding teacher with high expectations of children's attainment and progress•is passionate about young children and who strives to improve their outcomes •has substantial experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities and can help them achieve academically and personally•is able to establish positive working relationships with pupils and parents•has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues•has sound knowledge of the SEN code of practice•has excellent verbal and written communication skills to support writing statutory assessment requests, learning and support plans etc.
