Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities: The Fire Safety Advisor role will be the primary professional source of strategic planning, risk management, technical expertise and compliance assurance for fire safety for the Group.
Fire safety audits Conducting fire safety audits and inspections on Audley premises, including identifying fire hazards, risks, and control measures Compliance Ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation, such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Building Safety Act Reporting Completing robust reports on audit findings and compliance Communication Providing advice in order to determine compliance with statutory codes of practices and other fire related legislation Providing support and technical expertise to Senior Management and colleagues including mentoring and training to ensure effective sharing of knowledge Training Providing support and training to colleagues and fire safety talks to Owners Risk assessment Assisting with the fire risk assessment programme within our villages and ensuring that any actions are appropriately addressed Emergency preparedness Ensuring arrangements are in place and tested for emergency situations Key Skills and Requirements: Level 3 Fire Risk Assessor qualification Familiar with PAS 79 Comprehensive idea of BAFE standards NEBOSH fire certificate Knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulations Approved Document B and CLG Fire Safety Guides and fire safety related legislation Knowledge and understanding of relevant British Standards relevant to fire safety management Experience of undertaking fire risk assessments, fire safety audits and writing reports.
