Are you a skilled Fire Risk Carpenter looking for a new opportunity with a respected organisation? Following two internal career moves we're hiring two Fire Risk Carpenters/Joiners to join our Compliance Team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our properties.
Working on a full time, permanent basis, you will carry out essential Fire Risk actions, including: Fire Door Maintenance Fire Door Installation Fire Stopping General Fire Risk-related maintenance What You'll Be Doing: As an integral part of Paradigm's Compliance Team, you'll work independently and as part of a team to provide excellent service to our tenants while ensuring full compliance with fire safety standards.
Your duties will include: Performing general carpentry, joinery, and reactive maintenance. Installing and maintaining fire doors to certified standards (FIRAS/BM Trada). Carrying out fire stopping activities to the highest standard. Certifying work to the required level. What We're Looking For: Relevant Qualifications: City & Guilds Part 1 & 2, NVQ2, or equivalent experience in carpentry/joinery. Certifications: BM Trada Fire Door Maintenance, Installation, or Fire Stopping certifications (preferred/high advantageous).Experience: Proven track record of completing FIRAS or BM Trada-associated certifications, with practical knowledge in housing repairs, maintenance, and working within occupied homes.Expertise: A sound understanding of passive fire risk works, small building projects, and general maintenance, including carpentry, joinery, plastering, basic plumbing, and tiling.Location/Area of work: Based out of our Chesham & High Wycombe office, this role covers a wide area including Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, and surrounding regions. Further information For the full job description and person specification for the role please see the attachment at the bottom of this page.
