Finishing Technician

You will be working in a busy polishing department at this prestigious Aerospace company that has a reputation for high quality and superb finishes.
As a Finishing Technician, you will work with our highly skilled professionals to learn the intricacies of the work we do here at Lamberts London.
We will create a bespoke training plan to your skillset and needs and under the tutelage of our staff we will help you flourish in this specialist highly sought-after industry.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be working on parts for luxury first class suites of airlines, Prestige automotive brands and super yachts, among other interesting, high-quality parts.
Through the art of metal finishing, utilising a variety of different machines, polishing mops and compounds, you will transform parts from a raw machined state to a beautiful mirror finish and then after the different subsequent plating processes you will ensure that the part achieves the high quality that Lamberts London is famous for.
You will be working independently and as part of a team to ensure that deadlines are met, and the work is completed to the best standard possible.
The craft of metal polishing involves using your hands and standing on your feet for long periods of the day.
The Polishing department is a large, well-ventilated space and is fully fitted with Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems.
You will be fully provided with all of the PPE that you require to perform your job safely.
You will be passionate about achieving, and willing to work towards learning all of the polishing processes that are undertaken in the role.
You must be enthusiastic, approachable and be receptive to instruction whilst remaining competent in working on your own initiative.
You must be confident in your abilities, in particular, your attention to detail in producing an outstanding quality product.
Preferably you will have a years metal polishing experience, ideally using polishing motors, orbital sanders and diamond cutters.
Skills Required: Teachable – a keen willingness to learn from the wealth of experience offered Attention to detail Perseverance – like all crafts, metal polishing takes time to master Ability to work under pressure – this is a fast-paced atmosphere where priorities can change.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Friendly manner and personable Punctual Bright and mirror polishing of metalwork Grinding/Fettling/Linishing
