Finishing Operative

Finishing Operative Rotherham Salary £25,600 + Shift Allowance Monday - Thursday: 6am - 2pm & Friday 5am - 1pm, Monday - Thursday: 2pm - 10pm & Friday 1pm- 9pm.
25% shift allowance on the afternoon shift.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including night shifts.

We're looking for a Finishing Operative to bring precision and care to every task.
If you have an eye for detail and a hands-on approach, this is your opportunity to shine.
What You'll Do: Remove defects from castings with finesse.
Use hand tools like grinders, burrs, and abrasive belts to shape and refine components.
Dress castings to precise drawing tolerances and profiles.
Prepare castings for welding based on NDT and CMM investigations.
Conduct weld mapping and ensure quality at every step.
Handle measurement tools like verniers, calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
Take on essential tasks like de-burring, fettling, grinding, and ceramic mould removal.
What We're Looking For: Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Experience working to extremely tight tolerances Experience working in the metal industry is desirable A can-do attitude and eagerness to learn.
Basic math skills to support precision work.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Experience in safely operating overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
