The critical requirements of the role are to own the statutory reporting requirements of the group including the year-end audit process and statutory accounts preparation. In addition, the role will oversee transactional finance and will be the process owner for treasury and banking, cash flow management, and VAT/tax.

Therefore, the role will suit someone that is ACA qualified and has a background in audit coupled with experience of being in a similar role within industry, ideally from a similar sector.

This is initially an 8-month fixed-term contract; however, we are also looking for a permanent position, so the role has potential for temp to perm.

Main Duties: Own all statutory reporting processes, including year-end and half-year audit, statutory accounts, and tax compliance. Submission of VAT returns. Treasury management including banking, cash flow, and foreign exchange. Take ownership over various control processes e.g., payments, stock, and reconciliations. Overseeing and supporting the transactional finance function, working closely with them to ensure correct procedure. Experience of an ERP implementation as part of a company-wide systems change which involves business process developments. Ongoing support to the CFO and wider organization on an ongoing basis. Person Specification: Qualified accountant (ACA). Background in audit, with relevant follow-on experience in a similar organisation. Advanced Excel skill set. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire.
