Financial Crime Analyst Compliance | Cardiff or London, UK | Full-time Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per year + Bonus | Hybrid Working | Perks & Benefits Join an innovative, high-growth FinTech company as a Financial Crime Analyst and play a key role in ensuring the safety and integrity of financial services.
In this role, you will monitor and analyse customer transactions, investigate suspicious activities, and collaborate with compliance and legal teams to enhance financial crime prevention efforts.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and Analyse Transactions : Use automated monitoring tools to detect signs of fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
Investigate Suspicious Transactions : Conduct thorough investigations, document findings, and prepare regulatory-compliant reports.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with compliance, risk, IT, and other teams to improve detection systems and financial crime prevention strategies.
Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations : Keep informed about emerging financial crime trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
Train and Mentor Junior Analysts : Support the development of junior team members, reviewing their work and providing guidance as needed.
What We're Looking For: A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial crime analysis (e.g., AML, CFT, fraud detection) in a FinTech.
Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations and compliance standards .
Experience with financial crime detection tools and investigative techniques.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ACAMS , ICA ) and a degree in finance or a related field are preferred.
Strong analytical , problem-solving , and communication skills .
Proven ability to deliver training programs and mentor junior staff.
