A manufacturing business with a turnover in the region of £20m are looking to appoint a new Financial Controller.
Established for 100+ years, this specialist business is firmly rooted in their market and are widely regarded as a market leader across a large customer base.
With support from the Managing Director (a Chartered Accountant who has also operated in an Finance Director role), there are plans for this FC post to develop into a Finance Director role after 2-3 years.
Key Benefits/ Rewards on Offer: Starting salary depending on experience in the region of £55,000 - £60,000 Car allowance 37.5 hour working week with flexibility on start/finish times 12:30pm finish each Friday Hybrid working (1-2 days per week remote if required, but the majority of the role must be performed on site) 10% employer pension contribution 26 days annual leave entitlement + bank holidays Company sick pay (6 months at full pay) Family private health care Development to an FD role longer term Your New Role as Financial Controller: This is a pivotal appointment which provides decision making/strategic support, whilst remaining hands on in accounting duties.
Managing a team of 2 finance staff Production of the monthly management accounts pack including commentary and analysis Leading year end and audit, liaising with external bodies Oversee payroll processing Inventory management Production of budgets and forecasts Lead on projects including systems and process improvements Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply: The successful candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and experience within a manufacturing environment is essential to include strong cost accounting knowledge.
Staff management/supervision experience is required as well as proven ability to enhance existing systems and processes.
