Financial Controller

Join a growing renewable energy company as the Financial Controller for Europe.
This role will both prepare and oversee accounting operations, reporting, and tax compliance for the UK holding company and its subsidiaries in Europe, while providing technical accounting support across the group.
The role also includes project finance support, including business partnering around project costs.
With direct reports across multiple regions, this position offers a broad and impactful responsibility in an expanding business.
Responsibilities: Lead accounting and finance processes for all European subsidiaries, managing group reporting, daily operations, and a team of 2-3 direct reports.Manage UK statutory accounts preparation (holding company and multiple SPVs) and lead the audit process to ensure a clean audit.Oversee technical accounting across the group, ensuring compliance with leases, revenue recognition, and depreciation policies.Monitor intercompany balances and loan agreements, and ensure compliance with tax regulations across the group, including supporting tax structuring with professional firms.Skills/Experience Required: Qualified Accountant (through an audit scheme preferred).Post qualification experience in industry, in a global, multi-entity, multi-currency group environment.Working knowledge of IFRS 15 & 16.Experience in the energy industry is highly desirable.
