We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team within the Fulcrum Infrastructure Group (FIG) Asset.
FIG's healthcare facilities are delivered through the NHS LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) initiative, which brings together the NHS, the Department of Health, and a private sector partner. All 35 of our sites are viewed as core community assets within the NHS estate and aim to deliver social value in the areas in which they are located.
The Role: The role will be responsible for managing & supporting the delivery of the financial services elements of the MSAs across LIFT, and you will act as a centre of knowledge for financial and financial-contractual elements of the LIFT schemes.
You will act as the finance liaison for Meridiam investments where we are not the MSA provider & as the senior financial accountant for schemes with Meridiam visibility.
A strong eye for detail and an ability to interrogate complex contractual data is essential, as you will be accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of all key contractual reporting such as the management reporting for Boards and the respective management teams, as well as the annual financial statement audits.
You will manage the Corporation Tax, VAT, and CIS returns across the various projects.
Fostering long-term, strong relationships with various stakeholders will be key to your success, as you will be frequently engaging with internal teams, shareholders, senior lenders & HMRC.
About You: You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in the infrastructure, property, utilities, or energy industries.
You will be familiar with working with project financial models and meeting contractual deadlines for submission to lenders.
You will have experience with Corporation Tax, VAT, and CIS returns.
Previous experience in working with Access is desirable but not essential.
An understanding of project companies, SPVs, and financial management in this environment is desirable.
