Financial Controller c.£85,000 Derby / Hybrid LP12059 The Opportunity Finatal is partnering with a private equity fund, and their portfolio company, a B2B logistics business which has achieved a leading market position and strong rescillience ahead of competitors.
On the business' continued professionalisation journey, and to support the anticipated growth ahead, the finance team now demands a Financial Controller who will lead on the critical assessment of processes, controls and systems, and the hands-on delivery of positive change and influencing decision making through business partnering.
This position also represents the opportunity to the successful candidate to 'step-up' to the number 1 in finance position inside of the medium term.
This hire will work alongside a Group Accountant, and report to the CEO with additional oversight from the Interim CFO.
Commercial acumen and strong business partnering capabilities are required to positively influence, and drive decision making cross functionally.
Central Responsibilities Include; Accountable for leading the financial control function and support commercial decision making and budgeting.
• Lead of cashflow, budget, and management account preparation.
• Co-own existing banking relationship.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and support decision making across departments and influence positive change with individuals from a non-finance background.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the scalability of IT and finance.
• Own and lead optimisation of systems to meet the evolving needs of the business and support strategic objectives.
• Manage financial reporting and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, to provide transparency and visibility into financial performance.
